I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! I’ve been busy cleaning and decorating today. Since I’ve been so busy with houses and custom orders my house lately it has taken a back seat! It’s time for a good cleaning for sure, but the decor is more fun!
I decided to make this tutorial when a lot of you asked me how to add mesh to a Christmas tree. Several of you commented on the whimsical tree I decorated with the green jersey and wondered how the mesh was added. I know there are several ways to add the mesh, and show you the easiest way I’ve found to do so.
Christmas Tree Decorating Ideas
First, I have to show how my tree looked when we got it from the attic. Does not it seem wonderful ?? L O L! I can not believe I just let everything about her … What was I thinking? I think they just wanted to get up and out of the house … and see how many lights were out! I had to make a quick trip to Wal-Mart for sure. I restrung new lights and ready to decorate!
By adding the mesh for your tree, the first thing I would do is crunch. It is very wide and a little hard work, but you’ll get the hang of it.
Wrap a branch of the party around Scrunch starting at the bottom rear of the tree. I always start at the bottom, but can also start at the top and work your way up. There is no right or wrong way to do it. Savvy Seasons and Liz Sheila Notesongs mesh spiral down his tree. It looks beautiful in that way too.
Make a pouf of 12-16 inches and gnashing by wrapping around a branch.
Gather and wrap around the tree.
until it looks like this … You can add more mesh together if you want. I used a bit more of a hassle.
I hope that was easy to understand.
You can also add the smallest mesh in the same way if you’d like. I did not have much green, so I cut and wrapped around a branch for fagots. I love the way he complains!
(Kevin asked me what was a poof … lol. I assumed that you know)
Now you are ready to add their ornaments. It is difficult to see in this photo, but always begins with the interior of the tree adding the largest ornaments (cheaper) first. The Glittered balls are great for adding a bit of bright deep.
Now you’re ready to add your favorite ornaments! I always pick the ones I like and add them to the front of the tree.
As you can see I have a bit of everything in my tree. Usually I try to buy some ornaments each year. I’m really Santas and snowmen more.
Once you have finished adding all the trimmings you may want to add some things that come out of the tree to add more depth and interest. I added berries shining star shining light bulbs, etc. I could find! L o l…
Now it looks very full!
It is time for the topper! Five arches made two different tapes … oh! Seriously? Five? As I said before, I am a fan of the band! In fact, I made the arches of three tapes then added some more pieces of two tapes to the top of the arches.

I wired two arches back to back on the top of the tree letting the hanging streamers. I got streamers in the tree. The streamers were about 40 inches long.
I hope you enjoyed my tree decoration tutorial! Let me know if you have any questions or if I have nothing.
Thanks again for your kind comments on my Christmas decoration! It will not be long before things slow down a bit and I can visit my favorite blogs again. I hope to get the rest of my Christmas decoration over the next two days. I finished the cloak last night … I will show you soon!
